Professional Boundaries & Ethics builds the judgment caregivers need to protect trust, participant rights, confidentiality, and professional integrity in the home.

What You Will Learn

• Apply ethical duties and stay within scope of practice.
• Recognize boundary risks involving money, gifts, social media, and relationships.
• Protect autonomy while responding safely to refusal or conflict.
• Use the S-A-F-E ethical decision process.
• Report and document boundary or ethics concerns without concealment.

This course supports caregiver education. Staff must also follow the participant’s current service plan, Olivia Home Care Services policies, emergency procedures, and applicable program requirements. Course completion does not replace hands-on competency verification or licensed clinical instruction when required.
