Cultural Competency & Inclusive Care helps caregivers serve people of diverse identities, languages, beliefs, abilities, and family structures with humility, equity, and respect.

What You Will Learn

• Recognize personal bias and avoid stereotypes.
• Ask about individual preferences rather than making assumptions.
• Use respectful communication and agency-approved language access.
• Support cultural, spiritual, identity, and accessibility needs within the plan.
• Report discrimination and document concerns objectively.

This course supports caregiver education. Staff must also follow the participant’s current service plan, Olivia Home Care Services policies, emergency procedures, and applicable program requirements. Course completion does not replace hands-on competency verification or licensed clinical instruction when required.
